My Documented Life - weeks 48 & 49

The theme for week 48 was gratitude and the prompt for week 49 was to trace a hand onto your page. As I was playing catch-up, I got them the wrong way around!

My Documented Life - weeks 45, 46 & 47

I'm very behind, but trying to catch up!
The instruction for week 45 was to add a tab to the page.

For week 46, the prompt was to incorporate fabric into the page.

The prompt for week 47 was to add a map to the page and document something about it.

Art Journal Caravan - weeks 48 & 49

The prompt I used for week 48 was to use one of my photos. I chose one of the poppy installation at the Tower of London, a very powerful art work. Not sure how much I like my piece, but here it is:

The prompt for week 49 was about how we measure our lives.

It's not who you are ...

... that holds you back, it's who you think you are not.

Quiet moments ..

At this time of year it is nice to grab some quiet moments, particularly if not everything is making sense!

The most novel experience

This is a little piece I created on a cardboard oblong. I used acrylic paint and stencils to create the background, stuck on the image of the lady (stamped on tissue paper) onto the background and added the border stamps.

A couple of weeks ago I was fortunate enough to attend a workshop led by Anne Dabrowska, aka Finnabair. It was a great afternoon and this is what I came home with, a 20 x 20cm canvas full of texture, colour and embellishment. The picture is of me when I was about twelve.

Art Journal Caravan - week 45

This month (November, I'm behind!), AJC is centred around love, grace and gratitude.

Party!

The background of this page is both Spray Ink, stamped from a stencil, and acrylic paint, all left over from other projects. As are the stamps. I added the dots to the black tag and then attached the face to it, having sprayed ink through a stencil and then cut it out.I like the contrast of the black tag against the coloured background.

My Documented Life - week 44

The prompt for week 44 was to 'incorporate leaves onto your page in a creative way'. I used real leaves and painted them. They may not last the course, as they are quite brittle now, but I like how they look.
