Collage & Mixed Media 8

Here is a collage that I created on the Collage & Mixed Media Course I attended. It is strips of paper glued onto the paper with two images by Picasso then added on top.

I then created a painting based on my collage.

Here are my cards for 5th - 12th June.

Floral Delights

I painted this on sugar paper, very loosely, and then added the line with India Ink to give some definition.

Index Card a Day

I decided that I would join the Index Card a Day (ICAD) challenge again this year, although perhaps a bit more loosely. It runs from 1st June to the end of July.

Here is my title card (sorry it is so bent!):

And a one-staple warm-up:

And here are my first four cards:

Collage & Mixed Media 7

This is a collage I made of Waterloo Bridge, using the earlier drawing (see my posts on 24th & 27th May).

Collage & Mixed Media 6

Here are two very different collages made from my painty squares. I like the second one best - it reminds me of Henry Moore statues.

Collage & Mixed Media 5

Did you know you can paint onto tracing paper? Another thing I learnt on my course. I used tracing paper over a picture and when the paint was dry the tutor copied the image onto cartridge paper. I was amazed by how good it looks (although I know it isn't perfect)!

Collage

Following on from my course, and using the techniques I mentioned in my previous post 'Collage & Mixed Media 1', here is a collage I have made since. I took a line for a walk, added some pieces cut from my painty squares and then painted the remaining spaces yellow.
