Grunge tag

Simon says Stamp and Show has challenged us to produce a piece in grunge style. I decided to go for a tag.

I applied some light layers of Broken China and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks to the tag and then embossed it. I then went over it again with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I die cut the film strip, sprayed it black and glued it to the tag and then distressed two different pieces of Tim Holtz's Lost and Found paper stack and attached these over it. I coloured the Grunge Board bird, letters and flourish and once dry added these to the tag as well. The ribbons were the final touch.

Hi Jackie.... there is so much detail on this I had to zoooooom in on the entire piece for enjoyment. I love the idea of using those wonderful fibers to make a nest and all the tattering of the edges... Gorgeous !!!! Thnx for the inspiration !

Wonderful grungy work with lots of great colors and textures going on. My favorite part is the top corner element that looks like a nest - would love to know what it is constructed of. Terrific take on the "Your Grunge" theme. So happy you could join in the fun with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show.
