I am continuing with the course 'Soulful Abstracts' by Laly Mille, and this is my next set. Now complete, I think need to flatten the paper !

After the Storm

This is another picture using soft pastels. I had a little help this time as I followed a project in Jeremy Ford's book, 'Painting Pastel Landscapes'. I am very pleased with the result. I can imagine walking along that path in the fells...

Mountains

I've been playing with soft pastels... I've only used them in mixed media work before, so I thought I would try painting a picture with them. I'm not altogether happy with the picture, but I'm pleased with it as a first attempt using pastels.

Imagination

At the moment all my journeys are imaginary, because of coronavirus. A page from my flimsy journal.

Doodles

This page was created using oil pastels on an acrylic paint background. Essentially, I was just doodling with the pastels and this is what I ended up with.

Backgrounds

I've been having fun creating backgrounds and papers for collage material using India Ink, crayons and acrylic inks.
