Abstract Expressionism

Last week I went to the Abstract Expressionism exhibition at the Royal Academy. As well as thoroughly enjoying (most of) what I saw, I learnt a lot and came across artists I had not previously heard of.

Well, of course, once I was home, I had to have a go at creating my own abstract pieces. I'm not sure how successful they are, but I enjoyed doing them!

These are really fun and lovely too. My favourite here is the second, it is a happy abstract.
And then looking again, the third has a lot going on and the colour combinations and patterning merge together so well.

I think these are really cool! Especially the third one, I love it! The exhibition sounds brilliant, I am so glad you enjoyed it! xxx
