Degas

This week The Three Muses challenge us to use a favourite painting in our pieces.

I chose a painting of ballet dancers by Degas.

I love Degas too. I went to an amazing exhibition years ago and saw one of his bronze ballet dancers.

I googled for a moment "DEGAS"
Jacky. Isn't it great to discover so many and different artists true our friends.
I think that Bev, Ann and Marie have chosen a great subject today !!
Your entry is an enrichment for this challenge !!

Lovely, Jacky! Degas was my very first "favorite artist" and is still in my top 10. He is still one of my chief sources of inspiration, In fact, my dream is to be able to paint ballet dancers in a style of my very own. Until that time, I will continue to study and appreciate the work of talented artists like you!

Lovely work Jackie - I too am a Degas fan. I am sorry not to be around so much of late: am in the throes of organising my move back, flight booked for 31 March. Hope to get back to normal blog hopping eventually ;o) I shall have fun checking thru everything I missed!

Beautifully placed and framed to great effect Jackie. I love how you have picked out the blue of her sash to create your backdrop. Wonderful.
