After applying gesso to the beer mats, I painted them with green acrylic paint. Then I dry-brushed some light blue paint over the top and, once dry, sprayed with brick Glimmer Mist. I took some pre-cut Grungeboard shapes and coloured them with fired brick Distress Ink. I stamped them with a Tim Holtz stamp, embossed them and then applied fired brick Stickles. Small black gems gave the birds eyes. I used my Bind-it-All to join them all together.

Thia is really, really gorgeous Jackie! I love the way you have played with the paints, layering to create mingled colours and some texture too, truly lovely.
I like everything: idea, background, everything!
Gorgeous!
Beermats and grungeboard? Great idea! Love how this turned out!
