Salvaged Journal

Oh dear, this week seems to have slipped by very quickly!
I have created a few more pages in my Salvaged Journal though, so here they are.

Here are a couple more tags that I created using Distress Oxide Inks. I like the fact that you can smudge the ink whilst still keeping the image.

Be Joyful!

I haven't done anything in my art journal for ages, so I thought it was time I got it out again. This page is a mixture of collage, using tissue paper that I have previously decorated, and stamping.

Distress Oxide Inks

I bought some Distress Oxide inks a while ago but hadn't really used them until now. They are a bit different as they are a mixture of both pigment and dye inks. This means it is possible to smudge the image without losing the original design (less effective on gesso, though). I decided to have a play.

Here is my first play:

I then decided to have another go, on the back of this tag (don't know why I haven't done this before!).

I had some fun creating these painty tags (inspired by Dina Wakley). Which one do you like best? I think the second is my favourite.

Time!

Another piece of cardboard, this time using Distress Inks and Brushos for the background. The stamps are from Visible Image. I did have to go over them with black pen, as they didn't come out very well due to the corrugations.

Forever

I had a bit of fun using up an old piece of corrugated cardboard. I covered it in gesso, and then created a background using Distress Oxide inks. I then stamped the images (Paper Artsy) and coloured them using watercolour pens. What do you think of these cute creatures?
