My Documented Life - week 21

The prompt for week 21 was to add some cheesecloth. Well, I didn't have any so I had to improvise; I used an old bandage. Unfortunately, it was not cotton but a stretchy synthetic material. Anyway, I sprayed it with ink and added it to my finished page.

The background was created from collaged pieces of Gelli Plate Prints and various colours of acrylic paint.

You are enough!

For the background of this tag I layered on acrylic pain, using various stencils. Having stamped and coloured the woman's head, I then added all the paper layers. A finishing touches I added the bits of narrow tape and then a little more acrylic paint.

My Documented Life - week 19

So, this month it is all about texture at DLP and this week the prompt is 'stitching'. This encouraged me to get out my sewing machine! I sewed pieces of paper together and sewed onto tags and, with a bit of stamping thrown in, this is what I ended up with.

Two tags

The backgrounds of these tags are made from deli paper, decorated with acrylic paint using stencils. I stuck the decorated paper onto the tags using matte medium. Once they were dry I drew and painted the leaves.
