Mark-making
These two journal pages were inspired by Dawn Wakley's Mark-making video. I formed the marks by dragging paint-sodden string across the page and then went where my inspiration directed, using acrylic paints, stencils and collage.

Out of difficulties ...
... grow miracles.
I created the background of this journal page using my Gelli Plate and cut-out cardboard pieces, as demonstrated by Traci Bautisa in her Strathmore course. (You may have noticed similar shapes in some of my previous pages.) The leaves and the black triangles are my own stamps cut from foam.

My Documented Life - week 12
Well, how about that, I am no longer behind!
The prompt for week 12 was to use marks/doodles as the focal point.
I'm not sure what I really feel about this page, but to paraphrase Dina Wakley, it is alright to create ugly work as we will learn from it!

My Documented Life - week 11
The prompt last week for DLP was 'border'. Hopefully, this fulfils the brief! I also used some tips from Traci Bautista's course on Strathmore to create the background. I'm not convinced the page is finished, but here it is as it is at the moment ...

Heart
I'm still practising faces. Here I was aiming for a looser interpretation. Drawn in a couple of minutes using a Sharpie pen over a subtle stencilled background.

Mish mash journal page!
This page started with a stamp using leftover ink on a stencil. Then came some acrylic paint leftover from other projects. Onto this I added some of my own stamps, some circles cut from scrap paper and some bits of home-made tape. Lastly, I added my journalling and the quote (one of Dina Wakley's stamps). Perhaps not my best page, but quite good for mostly leftovers?!

My Documented Life - week 10
The prompt for week 10 was to use doodles or marks as a layer element.
I stated my page with some Gelli Plate prints and then added marks over them. I then added the arrows, tape and words.

Life ...
... doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful.
This page started with a layer of collage, which I then painted over with various acrylic paints and added some stamping. I then drew the flower and then painted it.
Sorry, the photo is a bit wonky as the page bent!

Good friends
This journal page started with a collaged background over which I add various acrylic paints. As in the last post, I coloured the figure with water-soluble pastels and glued him to the page.

Be aware!
The background of this page was created with spray inks.I stuck on the figure after colouring him with water-soluble pastels.

My Documented Life - week 7
The prompt for week seven was to 'cover up good stuff'. I always find this hard to do so it was a good challenge! I covered up some really nice parts of my background with the London serviettes. I think it came out alright in the end!
