29 Faces 28 & 29
My penultimate face of this series. I have enjoyed it, and overall, I think there is an improvement on last year! Hope you have enjoyed seeing them.

29 Faces 26 & 27
All my faces this year, except day 12, where I used paint and a spatula, have been drawn. So I decided I would try to paint some. I went on the basis that 'less is more' and am reasonably pleased with the results.

29 Faces 24 & 25
For these two faces I used backgrounds I already had in my journal. This might explain the weirdness/creativeness of them (choose your own word!).

29 Faces 21, 22 & 23
Not sure I like any of these three that much ... but it is all good practise and I think my proportions are getting better ...

My Documented Life - week 6
Week 6 was all about layers.
Here is a list of the layers on my pages:
Naples yellow paint
Addition of red, pink and mauve paints using stencils
Some strips of decorated deli paper
Some gesso
Stamps (my own)
Water-soluble oil pastels
Black spray ink through a stencil
The two tags
Pen to outline the edges of the 'E's
Word stickers

29 Faces 13, 14 & 15
I drew this face on scrap under paper and then glued her onto my page!
I drew this one with pen over an acrylic background.
And I think this one is my favourite, so far!

No Day but Today
This page started with some old papers glued onto the page and then acrylic paint and gesso applied over them. I then added the circles, a little bit of stamping and some rub-ons.

29 Faces 10, 11 & 12
For day 10, I did something a little different. I 'drew' my face using paint and a spatula. A technique I learnt from Dina Wakley.
For day 11, I also did something a little different, in that I used one of Dina's stencils for the eyes.
For day 11, I went back to drawing, but using Sharpie pens.

My Documented Life - week 5
The prompt for week five was to use 'under paper' i.e. the paper that catches all the spills and drips under one's work. I cut hearts from mine and added them to my pages. Can you spot some of my home-made stamps?

Foam stamps
A friend and I spent a day crafting recently. She showed me how to make stamps out of fun foam. I have now spent a couple of evenings making more whilst watching TV. Here is what I have ended up with.

My Documented Life - weeks 3 & 4
The challenge for week 3 was about the colour wheel. Both of sides of my double-page spread started off with a background of black gesso, but that is where the similarity ended!
Week four: the challenge was about writing and 'words with friends'. I was very inspired by the colours Stephanie Ackerman, the guest artist used, so I used them as my starting point.

29 Faces 2015
I wasn't going to join again this year, but I so enjoyed it in 2014 ... I probably won't post every day, but I will draw all the faces and post them all at various points. Hopefully, you will be able to see an improvement from last year! (You can see them under the label 29 Faces. The label for this year is 29 Faces 2015.)
Here goes ...my first face.
