A tag

Having painted the tag, I stamped the image on to white tissue paper and painted the back of it to provide some colour. I then stuck it onto the tag. I rolled up small parts of old dictionary pages and stuck them and the scraps onto the tag. I made the ribbon from Tim Holtz tape to go with the old paper.

Escape

The photo in this digital piece is a picture of the Italian garden at the Lost Gardens of Heligan, which I took a couple of years ago.

Wall hanging (8 x 6 inches)

I used two pieces of corrugated cardboard for my substrates for this piece. I painted them with Fresco paint and then stamped on top of them. I then added the pieces of waxed paper onto the larger piece of cardboard.  (I crumpled the larger pieces and swiped with Treasure Gold. The smaller pieces I painted before crumpling and adding the Treasure Gold.) I stamped the figure and film strips, coloured them and then added the plastic film strip to the stamps. After adding the film strips to each piece of cardboard, I added the figure to the smaller piece, which I then attached to the larger one. Done!

Think it through

This was a very simple tag to make. I covered it with various strips of lettered tape and then added the red circle stickers. To finish, I stuck the words on the of the central sticker and outlined them.

Gigantic journal

Here is the next page in what is now going to be my gigantic upside down journal. Remember I created the second page upside down? Well I've decided to do the same with all the corresponding pages so that whether it is opened from the front or the back the facing pages will be the right way up.

Bookmarks

These are 5 bookmarks that I made using one of the spray paint backgrounds I created back in the summer (see my post on 7th June 2012). I cut strips from the background and glued them back to back. I then used black Archival ink with Dina Wakley stamps to decorate them.

Does anyone else have curly hair?

Well, if you do you will understand what inspired this piece!

What I'm looking for ...

... is a blessing that is not in disguise!

This journal page started off with splatters of Dylusions spray inks and Distress Stains.I then stuck on the face (part of a Paper Artsy paper), the washi tape and the word sticker. Lastly, came the stamping, to give the page some depth.

Heaven and earth

I created this picture on an 8 x 8 inch canvas using Liquitex spray paints and stencils. To create the shadow on the birds and branches I first sprayed the dark green paint through the stencil and then, once dry, I moved the stencil a little to the right and sprayed the lighter colour.

Don't hold yourself back

This is a page from my A5 journal. The background is spray inks with paint added through stencils. The silhouette was stamped onto tissue paper and then glued onto the page. I then stamped on the words.

Soulful world

This tag started with a layer of mauve acrylic paint. Then came some spray inks. I then stenciled on the script with purple acrylic paint. I stamped the Dina Wakley silhouette stamp onto white tissue paper and then glued this onto the tag using matte medium so that the tissue paper wouldn't show.

This is an old photograph of my great-grandfather and his comrades taken during World War 1. I like it because, despite what was happening, they found time to have a laugh, pretending their spades are guitars.

Hybrid collage

This collage is partly home-made and partly digital. The background is a paper collage that I made some while back and onto it I have superimposed some digital paint elements, the word art and border.

A tag

The background of this tag was made from Portfolio Pastels blended together and then some mauve acrylic paint applied through a stencil. I then added a block of titan buff acrylic paint and, once dry, I stamped over it with one of the Lynne Perrella stamps from Paper Artsy. I added some colour to the stamp and addedthe pieces of orange and purple washi tape as a finishing touch.
