Paris wall plaque

I started this piece by collaging pieces of old book pages onto the wood. I then added tissue paper with French words and scenes. Once dry I added some orange and blue acrylic paint through stencils. The top layer was a faux bees wax I made from various acrylic mediums. After this had dried I attached the metal embellishments.

Dream - a journal page

The focal image on this page is a transfer on sticky-back canvas. The background was created using various stencils and spray inks. You may spot some stamping underneath all the layers. Not liking to waste anything, having used stamps on other pages I stamped the excess ink onto this page to start it off!

Who, me?

I printed one layer of paint using my Gelli Plate and then did another adding the two silhouettes. I then sprayed the page and edged the figures with a white paint pen and then charcoal. I added some faint stamping in the background and the script.

Faux watercolour faces

To create these faces I took one of my Lynne Perrella stamps (by Paper Artsy), coloured it with two or three Distress Stains, spritzed it with water and then gently pressed a piece of scalloped card on top of it. The results varied as to how much, or how little, water I used.

Happiness

The background of this page was created with my Gelli Plate. I then added the little folder, tape and stamping.

You too!

This journal page started off with printing excess strips of paint from my Gelli Plate onto it. I then filled some of the gaps with various bits of washi tape. Then I added the tabs and other embellishments as focal points.

This is the view with the tabs open.

Life

This page was created at the same time, and in the same way, as the one I posted yesterday. I used one of my favourite quotes.

I'm not quite sure why the pink elephant ended up there, but it seemed fun!!

Imagination

This was a very simple journal page to create. I sprayed it with various colours of Dylusions Inks, added the tape and houses and tree, and then stamped the bird and quote.

Sometimes...

Have nothing in your house ...

... that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.

I really wish I could follow William Morris' advice!

Just be

I used this journal page to feature an ATC (Artist Trading Card) I made a while back. The background is made up of layers of spray inks through stencils. I then added the stamping, washi tape and text.

Live life joyfully

To start this page I added strips of Tim Holtz tape across the two corners. Then I coloured it with spray inks, using a stencil for the upper layer. I drew the two figures onto an old book page, cut them out and coloured them using Portfolio Pastels. Once I had stuck them to the page I outlined them to give them more definition and added the script.

Love

I created this piece using my Gelli Plate, stencils and a home made heart stencil. I then used the hearts as the embellishments over a doily that I had used as a stencil for another background. Simple but very effective!
