Pink & blue ATCs
Over the next three days I will show you three sets of ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) that I made a while ago. All the backgrounds were coloured with Distress Inks. The images wre then stamped on in black and highlighted with a white gel pen.

Dancing in the rain
I started this page by laying down blue and yellow acrylic paint, letting them blend in some areas. I then drew the figure with a black water soluble pencil and coloured it with Portfolio Pastels. I then added the white background pattern using a stencil and added touches of the orange pastel. To finish I used a Tim Holtz stamp to add the quote.

Something colourful ...
... and quirky for a Saturday morning. In case you can't tell, it's digital.

A rich tapestry
This page started off with a collage background over which I applied gesso. Then came layers of acrylic and spray paint. I then stamped on some background images and then the black dress maker's dummy. Finally, the quote.

Something to reflect upon ...
... I'm not sure this is true all of the time, but sometimes ...

Let all that has life ...
... praise the Lord.
Initially, I stuck scrap pieces of paper onto the page. I then applied a light layer of gesso over this and, once dry, sprayed various colours of Dylusions spray ink through stencils. I then drew my figures and added the words. I deepened the yellow by adding some Pan Pastel onto the background.

London
I used acrylic paints scraped over the page with an old credit card to create the background of this page. (Click on the image to get a better view.)

A simple card
I haven't got much to show today, but here is a birthday card I made for a friend. Hope she likes it!

Art is everywhere
I made this tag using the new seasonal Distress Inks and complementary Perfect Pearls. Over this I sprayed Crafy Notions matte white spray through a stencil. I then added the leaves, flower and words.

Be happy
I haven't joined in Sunday Postcard Art for ages, so I thought it was time to make a contribution again. So here it is...

Sing ...
Something bright and cheerful for a grey, damp Saturday morning. It doesn't look like the weather is going to improve anytime soon ... so it just gives an excuse to stay inside and create art!
I created this journal page using acrylic paint and Dylusions Sprays through stencils. You can still see where I used a doily in the lower left hand corner. I blended the piece by using a light layer of Crafty notions white matte spray. The flowers are doodles.

Texture
I love texture, but generally I find I don't usually add much to my journal pages, except by using paint, but an article in this month's Craft Stamper by Jaine Drake inspired me to have a go.
This is my first page. I quite like it but it wasn't what I set out to achieve. I went a bit overboard with the tissue paper stamping! You can, however, see the texture.
This is my second attempt, and is much more the look I had in mind.
Here's a close up of some of the texture I created by adding Artist Spackle through a stencil and adding cardboard shapes.

Don't let your wounds ...
... turn you into something you are not. A friend posted this on her Facebook page and I was so struck with it I used it on this journal page. I started with collage which I then applied gesso over. I then used stencils and Fresco paints to add the colour and patterns. Finally, a bit of stamping and doodling.

Reflections
For this page I laid down the two colours of Distress Stains and then once dry, added the texture paste through a stencil. Once set I used Inka Gold to colour it. I added more paint through a stencil and, to finish, added the stamping and journalling.

Summer
I created this page at the same time as my fish one (see below). The background started off with collage - you can just about still see it in the middle at the bottom. I then added layers of paint and gesso followed by spray inks through various stencils. The flowers were stamped using a large foam stamp I have.

A little bird told me
I enjoyed creating this page. The background is a mixture of Fresco Paints (Paper Artsy), gesso and Dylusion Ink sprays. The flower and bird are stick-on embellishments I had in my stash.

A celebration of life
This is a joyful piece as today we are celebrating my Nan's 100th birthday. So much has changed since 1912. It is incredible to think about what she has lived through.
